YMCA Special Rescue Group
Funded in June 1991, the YMCA Special Rescue Group was entirely run by volunteers and offered various services such as a mobile-first aid post for events, nighttime, suicide helpline, computer training courses for people with special needs, and other first-aid & rescue training. In 1995, the group was planning on increasing the hours of the nighttime helpline, starting offering face-to-face sessions to those who called on the helpline, delivering more training sessions on first aid & rescue, getting an ambulance to offer rapid interventions, and offering more courses to people with special needs.
