Community activities

Support organised activities, practical initiatives and community engagement under team guidance.

Assist with approved youth activities, workshops and non-formal learning where suitable.

Help sort, prepare and display donated goods or support shop activities in Żabbar.

How it works

Matching is important. We want each placement to be useful for the service, safe for everyone and meaningful for the volunteer.

Age requirements, checks, references, training and minimum commitment vary according to the role and level of contact involved.

Volunteer involvement must protect the dignity, privacy, safety and wellbeing of people engaging with YMCA Malta.

Volunteers are expected to work within agreed responsibilities, follow organisational guidance and raise concerns through the appropriate channels.

People come first.Some opportunities may be unavailable at a particular time. YMCA Malta may decline or end a placement when it is not suitable, safe or aligned with service needs.
