YMCA Malta was founded in Valletta in 1976. Throughout our history, we have also been known as YMCA Valletta and/or YMCA Homeless. Today, our specialisation is the support, assistance and reintegration of the homeless/roofless in Malta.

Our attention is equally given to nurturing the positive development of young people, empowering them to flourish and thrive in mind, body & spirit!

The earliest days of our organisation grew organically out of its volunteers assessing where help was needed in Maltese society. Individuals who were pulled towards service to others found their spiritual home at the Y…and they still do today.

Bonds with YMCAs in other countries coalesced into joyful collaboration that carries down to this very day. Throughout the years, we have proudly stood for a more equitable and just society for all, without discrimination and without conditions.
